Finance Officer – Floating Farm to Table Project

About the role

The Finance Officer will support the From Floating Farm to Table (FF2T) project in Asmat by ensuring accurate bookkeeping and compliance with World Vision financial policies. Working closely with the project accountant, you will help translate financial data into actionable insights for project implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain journal entries and review all transactions, including advances and staff expenses, to ensure they meet policy and cost allowability criteria.
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports, aging schedules, tax, prepaid and accrued items.
• Support the accountant in training community groups on basic bookkeeping and financial management.
• Assist with audit follow‑up, providing documentation and corrective actions as needed.
• Manage fixed‑asset records, update asset registers, and generate asset reports.
• Act as the primary invoice sender and central receiver in the ProVision process, coordinating with the Shared Service Center in Manila.
• Provide financial data for project design, annual operating plans and budgeting.
• Monitor spend against budget, identify under/overspend and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in finance, accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in non‑profit or development projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial policies and standards.
• Good analytical skills to interpret financial trends and support decision‑making.
• Ability to communicate clearly with project staff and external partners.
