Production Engineer

About the role

The Production Engineer will ensure that manufacturing operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. Based in Merak, Banten, the role supports daily production activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross‑functional project coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Issue work permits (G1) and enforce EHS guidelines in the production area.
• Verify batch cards for daily production and monitor any changes before implementation.
• Conduct and document monthly safety, quality, and issue meetings.
• Update HIRA, procedures, work instructions, and checklists every six months.
• Prepare written procedures for trial, rework, and recycling of non‑standard products.
• Lead daily production briefings with the shift leader and issue operational instructions.
• Report production deviations and generate daily performance reports.
• Coordinate with maintenance on projects to ensure proper change management.
• Identify and propose lean manufacturing, process improvement, and automation opportunities.
• Follow up with equipment, quality, and process teams to resolve production issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a chemical plant or similar production environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of production processes and EHS compliance.
• High initiative, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting ability.
• Proficiency in reporting methods and computer applications.
