Business Development Manager - Sea & Air Freight

About the role

FMS Logistics is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Jakarta, Indonesia, to grow its sea freight and airfreight business for export and import. The role is full time, starts immediately and involves developing the customer portfolio and implementing sales approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the customer portfolio and facilitate business growth
• Prepare and implement marketing and sales approaches
• Grow the sea freight and airfreight sectors, both export and import
• Represent the company to external customers
• Execute the strategic sales plan, including trade and route development
• Maintain a good company image and strong relationships with customers and vendors, including problem solving
• Work closely with procurement and operations departments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• At least 5 years of sales experience or similar in logistics or freight forwarding
• Sufficient knowledge of the local market
• Strong command of English; Mandarin is an advantage
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Team player with a proactive attitude and entrepreneurial mindset
• Willingness to travel

Required skills

• Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
