Lead Buyer / Procurement Coordinator - EPC Projects

About the role

SeaOwl is looking for an experienced Lead Buyer / Procurement Coordinator to be based in Batam, Indonesia, supporting its EPC projects. The role manages end-to-end procurement, from sourcing and vendor qualification through purchase orders, expediting and delivery, working closely with Project, Engineering, Construction and Procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for EPC and project requirements, reviewing purchase requisitions and technical specifications
• Pre-qualify and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors, and conduct strategic sourcing and commercial negotiations
• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules
• Prepare and manage purchase orders and procurement documentation, and follow up with suppliers on manufacturing, delivery and documentation
• Coordinate expediting and material management, and monitor supplier performance, quality and compliance
• Support contract administration, change orders, claims and other commercial matters
• Maintain procurement schedules, trackers and reports, and support procurement KPI reporting and dashboards

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine or Engineering projects
• Hands-on experience from RFQ through PO, expediting and delivery, and strong vendor sourcing, qualification and negotiation skills
• Understanding of contracts, subcontracts, change orders and claims
• Experience working with Engineering, Project and Construction teams
• Good command of written and spoken English
