Governance Specialist – Stunting Reduction (PASTI) Project – Papua

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Governance Specialist to support the Partnership to Accelerate Stunting Reduction in Indonesia (PASTI) Project in Papua. The role focuses on strengthening health governance at sub‑national levels to drive reductions in stunting rates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for health governance, policy advocacy, campaigns, social accountability, and stakeholder engagement.
• Support the Stunting Coalition and working groups to develop and implement district‑wide and provincial‑wide stunting reduction plans.
• Develop and execute advocacy and external‑engagement strategies aligned with stunting reduction objectives.
• Facilitate negotiations with government departments and partner organizations to secure public and private financing.
• Identify funding opportunities, prepare proposals, and manage budgeting frameworks for advocacy activities.
• Use data to analyse trends in stunting risk factors and inform action plans.
• Lead capacity‑building sessions for staff and partners on governance and implementation.
• Collect, document, and share lessons learned to improve program quality and reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in health governance, public health, or nutrition programmes at sub‑national levels.
• Proven ability to work with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
• Strong analytical skills for data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement.
