Philanthropic Advisor

About the role

World Vision Indonesia is seeking a Philanthropic Advisor to lead major‑gift fundraising from middle‑level donors. The role focuses on building a sustainable portfolio of donors who can contribute at a major‑gift level to support vulnerable children across Indonesia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow major‑gift contributions from middle donors and sponsors.
• Develop and implement a Ministry Funding Strategy, donor acquisition, retention, and engagement plans.
• Lead strategic mapping for major‑gift opportunities and create annual business plans based on landscape analysis.
• Coordinate proposal development, secure annual funding, and monitor funding status for each project.
• Maintain strong donor relationships, respond to queries and complaints, and ensure transparency and accountability.
• Collaborate with national, regional, and global teams to align donor interests with program needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in major‑gift fundraising or donor acquisition within the nonprofit sector.
• Ability to develop strategic plans and execute donor engagement initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills to assess donor landscapes and identify funding gaps.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams at national and international levels.
