Lead Cost Controller - Kutei North Hub FPSO Project

About the role

Saipem is recruiting a Lead Cost Controller for its Jakarta office, working on the Kutei North Hub FPSO project. The role establishes and manages a cost control system so that the project manager can complete the project within the approved budget, spot budget deviations early, estimate their final impact and monitor the effect of corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Create a cost awareness atmosphere among the project team and meet the Operating Company and corporate reporting requirements.
• At project start: implement the cost control system after contract award, set up the consolidated Cost Breakdown Structure, review the procurement and accounting systems used by the operating companies and branches, and verify cost traceability.
• Issue the Project Cost Control Procedure, Cost Coding Manual and Risk Management Plan, and configure the Cost Breakdown Structure to monitor procurement and accounting activities.
• If not provided during the commercial phase, split the commercial budget by intercompany scheme, contract and work schedule, and prepare cash flow by currency; coordinate the start of risk management and run Monte Carlo analysis.
• During execution: keep the cost control system effective, monitor earned value and value of work done against invoices, determine monthly accruals, and support contract changes and claims with cost impact analysis.
• Analyse committed costs and the estimate to complete, isolate deviations from baseline and warn the project manager in time to prevent overruns.
• Maintain the risk management process, issue project and company reports, and support the close-out report and cost feedback data.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Cost Controller in the oil and gas industry.
• English language skills.
