HSE Manager – Construction Safety Lead

About the role

The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are planned and executed safely, with a focus on high‑risk works and zero‑interrupt operations. This full‑time position is embedded within the construction team to drive compliance with DSCO, Surbana Jurong, Indonesian regulations and international HSSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the project HSSE plan on site and ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Lead daily HSE coordination, including pre‑start briefings, toolbox talks and high‑risk activity reviews.
• Control and monitor permit‑to‑work processes for energized electrical work, lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space entry, excavation, lifting, work at height and commissioning activities.
• Review contractors’ risk assessments, method statements, lifting plans, electrical safety plans and emergency response arrangements before work commences.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager, MEP Lead, C&S Lead, site engineers, contractors and DSCO representatives to maintain a safe work environment.
