Account Manager - Bakery Segment

About the role

Brenntag is looking for an Account Manager in Jakarta to cover all activities related to selling products and sales administration for the bakery segment. The role also includes stock and debtor management, cost control and profit and loss oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customers, develop existing relationships and identify new product and sales growth opportunities
• Achieve sales targets using digital and face-to-face channels for allocated products
• Identify high-potential accounts and convert prospects, following sales protocols to generate leads and raise conversion rates
• Use call planning, pipeline management and lead qualification to drive sales and meet targets
• Make joint visits with managers and principals as required
• Work with stakeholders such as Sales Management, Industry Marketing Management and Application Development to deliver solutions for customers
• Submit accurate forecasts and manage pricing strategies including contracts, pricing agreements, renewals and negotiations
• Prepare and offer quotations to customers

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in an industry-related discipline (science/chemistry)
• 5+ years of B2B sales experience in a food or raw ingredients commercial role
• Technical knowledge of food and nutrition, able to explain the value of nutrition and raw ingredient products
• Willingness to travel to visit customers
• Preferred: experience in distribution, chemicals, food science or similar industries
• Preferred: strong knowledge of enzyme, flavour and colour applications; conversing or writing in Mandarin is preferred but not required
