Provincial Coordinator

About the role

The Provincial Coordinator will represent the EpiC Global Health Security (GHS) project in Banten province, Indonesia. Reporting to the Jakarta‑based team, the Coordinator serves as the primary liaison with provincial health authorities, local government, and sub‑award partners to ensure effective implementation of zoonotic disease surveillance and response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor all GHS activities in Banten, working closely with district‑level Field Officers.
• Facilitate disease surveillance, laboratory confirmatory testing, outbreak response and public‑health messaging across the province.
• Engage with Tim Koordinasi Daerah (TIKORDA), Puskesmas, laboratories and partner NGOs to align efforts with national One Health strategies.
• Provide technical support and capacity building to local health staff and ensure timely reporting to national authorities.
• Collaborate with FHI 360’s STRIDES team and other sub‑award partners to integrate human and animal health initiatives.

Required profile

• Background in public health, epidemiology, veterinary medicine or a related health discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working with Indonesian health systems and government agencies.
• Strong coordination and communication abilities in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Ability to travel within the province and work on‑site with multiple stakeholders.
