Sales Engineer - Central Java Territory

About the role

A German manufacturer of control, isolation and safety valves, as well as industrial steam and condensate recovery products, is expanding into Indonesia and is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer for its Central Java territory. The role covers prospecting, quotations, sales and profitable contract completion.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for prospecting, quotations, sales and completion of contracts in the Central Java territory.
• Agree and authorise specifications with clients, leading to quotations and tendering processes.
• Achieve the given sales goals within the territory.
• Understand customer requirements and provide sales and marketing support.
• Generate high-quality sales leads and process orders efficiently.
• Identify and report potential new markets, industries and opportunities in Central Java.
• Develop and maintain an order pipeline using a CRM system.
• Provide regular product training and seminars to clients.
• Report progress against the sales plan verbally and in writing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; previous relevant sales and technical experience is also important.
• Experience in sales (valve-related industry) preferred.
• Knowledge of the customer market in Central Java.
• Good English skills.
• Knowledge and experience of distributor and OEM business.
• Willingness to continue sales and engineering education.
