QA-QC Coordinator

About the role

A temporary, full-time QA-QC Coordinator position based in Batam, Indonesia. The role oversees quality assurance and quality control across construction, installation, inspection, testing, mechanical completion and project handover, ensuring work complies with approved specifications, drawings, ITPs and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee QA/QC activities during construction, installation, inspection, testing, mechanical completion and handover.
• Ensure works follow approved project specifications, engineering drawings, ITPs, quality procedures and international standards.
• Coordinate inspections and tests with clients, subcontractors, construction and engineering teams and third-party inspectors.
• Monitor quality performance and compliance throughout all project phases.
• Review, maintain and control quality documentation such as inspection reports, test reports, RFIs, NCRs and handover dossiers.
• Track and follow up NCRs, punch list items and corrective actions until closed.
• Support quality audits, surveillance activities and client inspections.
• Resolve quality issues with Construction, Engineering, HSE and subcontractor teams.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC reports, quality records and quality updates to management and clients.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5-8 years of QA/QC experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Offshore, Marine, Shipyard or Industrial Construction projects.
• Experience coordinating inspections with clients, third-party inspectors and subcontractors.
• Experience in HVDC Converter Platform or Offshore Substation projects is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction, installation, testing and mechanical completion activities.
• Strong coordination, communication, reporting and problem-solving skills; fluent English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspection procedures, quality management systems and industry standards.
• Mechanical and electrical inspection and quality control.
• Familiarity with ITP, PQP, NCR, RFI, method statements, inspection and test reports.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
