Project Coordinator – Water Resource Management (PBI Project, Nias)

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of the Water Resource Management component of the PBI Project in South Nias. Working under Wahana Visi Indonesia’s standards, the role focuses on delivering clean‑water infrastructure, sanitation facilities, and hygiene promotion to improve health and livelihoods.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and monitor construction of clean‑water facilities and communal septic tanks.
• Develop and execute the project master plan aligned with national WASH and health strategies.
• Coordinate training‑of‑trainers, capacity‑building sessions for field facilitators, health workers, water committees and community volunteers.
• Manage project finances and budgets in partnership with the finance officer, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
• Oversee supply‑chain processes, procurement and logistics for project materials.
• Lead monitoring, evaluation and reporting of project activities and outcomes.
• Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs and local stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating WASH or water‑resource projects.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government and community groups.
• Excellent communication skills in English; local language proficiency is a plus.
