About the role
The Livelihood and Resilience Manager provides overall leadership and technical expertise for World Vision Indonesia’s Livelihood & Resilience Unit. The role ensures that strategic ministry objectives and child‑wellbeing outcomes are achieved with high quality, accountability, and alignment to World Vision’s core values.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Livelihood & Resilience Unit, overseeing program design, implementation, and monitoring.
- Advocate for and position World Vision Indonesia as a trusted partner on livelihood and resilience issues with government, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Integrate technical areas such as food security, climate‑resilient agriculture, climate change adaptation, market‑based programming, financial literacy, and youth economic empowerment.
- Ensure rigorous monitoring, evaluation, and evidence of impact for all livelihood programmes.
- Drive sustainable funding acquisition, lead proposal development, and support fundraising activities.
- Support emergency preparedness and response, ensuring timely and coordinated assistance.
- Contribute to national strategy development, incorporating data and landscape analysis.
Required profile
- Proven experience in livelihood, resilience, or related humanitarian programming.
- Strong understanding of Indonesia’s national strategies and sectoral priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse external partners and represent the organization publicly.
- Experience in proposal writing, fundraising, and managing multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Willingness to support emergency response efforts as needed.
Required skills
- Technical knowledge of food security and climate‑resilient agriculture.
- Expertise in climate change adaptation and market‑based programming.
- Understanding of financial literacy and youth economic empowerment concepts.
- Proficiency in monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment.
- Strong proposal development and fundraising skills.
