TUNTAS Program Manager

About the role

The TUNTAS Program Manager is the senior operational lead for the TUNTAS program, which delivers technical assistance to district and provincial governments to reduce school dropout and improve educational outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. The role is based in Sidoarjo or Malang, East Java, with regular support to program operations with implementing partners in Bogor and Depok, West Java. It is subject to donor approval.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall implementation of the program, ensuring technical quality, alignment with donor commitments and national education priorities, and integration of GEDSI, climate change, child protection and child participation
• Develop a detailed implementation plan, coordinate with implementing partners and stakeholders, and ensure timely, accurate narrative and financial reporting
• Manage program budgets and projections, monitor spending against budget and track partner expenditure
• Manage relationships with implementing partners, support proposal development and contribute to localization and eco-convener work
• Represent the organization to partners, donors and government, and ensure IT, HR, safety and security policies are in place and followed
• Oversee facilities maintenance, procurement, travel management and logistics
• Contribute to the Child Safeguarding Policy and work with the humanitarian team on emergency preparedness and response
• Collaborate with the MEAL team on program logframes and indicators

Required profile

• Deep expertise in the Indonesian education system, formal and non-formal
• Proven experience delivering large-scale capacity building at the local level
• Strong grounding in adult learning and systems-strengthening approaches
