QA Tester Banking

About the role

We are seeking a QA Tester specialized in banking and financial services applications. The role involves designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test cases to ensure high‑quality software releases.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to create effective test strategies and scenarios.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases, scripts, and plans for banking applications, covering functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, Katalon or similar frameworks.
• Perform API testing with tools such as Postman or REST Assured to validate functionality and data integrity.
• Identify, document, track, and report defects; collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct retesting and regression testing to verify bug fixes and application stability.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other cross‑functional teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies or follow Waterfall processes as required.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, including execution reports, defect logs, and summary reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a QA Tester, preferably with banking or financial services applications.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands‑on experience in manual testing (functional, regression, integration, UAT) and automation testing.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and basic programming/scripting knowledge (Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments.
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
