Material Planner

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Material Planner to develop and maintain material plans, forecasts, and schedules that support operational needs across its eye‑care manufacturing operations in Indonesia. The role works closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirement plans, forecasts, and schedules.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal plant support teams to define and execute activities.
• Monitor daily delivery plans, flag discrepancies, and ensure alignment with schedules.
• Create purchase requisitions considering request dates, component availability, and capacity constraints.
• Maintain accurate material master data in SAP (MRP views).
• Forecast raw material and component needs and communicate plans to buyers and suppliers.
• Work with Receiving and Quality Assurance to ensure timely release of raw materials.
• Track inventory levels against target levels and support inventory optimization actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong understanding of material planning processes.
• Good knowledge of SAP ERP (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Strong data analysis, project and time management abilities.
• Effective problem‑solving skills.
