Maritime Structural Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maritime Structural Engineer to join our Jakarta office. The role involves designing and analysing marine structures, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting project delivery from concept to construction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design using STAAD Pro.
• Prepare detailed calculations, technical reports and specifications.
• Create structural sketches in AutoCAD for drafter development.
• Review and approve structural drawings produced by drafter.
• Ensure designs meet relevant national and international codes and standards.
• Coordinate design efforts with other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in site visits for data collection, inspections, and construction queries.
• Review vendor submissions and shop drawings for structural integrity.
• Contribute to project proposals and technical documentation.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to junior engineers as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Ocean Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in structural design of marine structures.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Preferred: SKK Ahli Madya Dermaga certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD for drafting and drawing review.
• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and materials such as steel and concrete.
• Ability to apply relevant design codes and standards.
