Manager, Capital Market & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS)

About the role

PwC is hiring a Manager for its Assurance practice in Jakarta, within the Capital Market & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) line of service. The role focuses on giving clients strategic guidance on technical accounting, financial reporting, transaction structures and capital markets topics, covering both public and private deals and other transformational business events. As a manager, you also coach, develop and mentor team members and manage their performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the linkages and interactions between the parts of a system and take ownership of projects, including planning, budgeting, execution and completion.
• Partner with team leadership on quality, timelines and deliverables, and mentor and coach team members, using work reviews to deepen their expertise.
• Handle difficult conversations with clients, team members and stakeholders, escalating where appropriate, while upholding professional and technical standards, the firm's code of conduct and independence requirements.
• Lead, develop and mentor junior staff, deal with ambiguous and unstructured problems, and move between big-picture thinking and detailed management.
• Anticipate stakeholder needs, build trust through open conversations, and contribute technical knowledge in your area of specialism.
• Navigate cross-border and diverse teams and engagements, and encourage others to embrace technology and innovation.

Required profile

• Preferred: minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in the consulting field.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Preferred: well-versed in insurance industry issues, strong communication, organisation, project management and analytical skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Preferred: experience with IPOs, IPO preparation and bond offerings; CPA, CA or similar certification; strong IFRS and/or US GAAP knowledge; Big 4 accounting firm experience.
