Associate - Tax & Legal Services (Campus Hiring 2026)

About the role

PwC Indonesia is recruiting an Associate in its Tax and Legal Services line of service through its 2026 campus hiring programme. The role advises clients on local and overseas tax affairs, supports tax strategy and compliance, and helps organisations understand the tax implications of related-party transactions and deals. It is open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of related experience.

Key responsibilities

• Pre-engagement: prepare proposals, independence clearance and risk management procedures, including new client acceptance forms, relationship checks and authorization for services, and follow up with the supervisor until the proposal is approved and sent to the client.
• Engagement: liaise with the client on deadlines for documents, payments, tax returns and appeals; follow up with the tax officer and organize submissions to the tax office, tax court or supreme court.
• Prepare tax calculations, tax returns, reconciliations, working papers, letters and reports, research regulations, review client data and revise work after supervisor review.
• Attend meetings with the client or tax officer, attend tax hearings or reconciliations, prepare meeting minutes and file documents properly.
• Post-engagement: file all assignment documents in the green file, arrange storage in the filing room after partner and manager approval.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Economics, Corporate Law and Taxation, Business Administration or Management, with a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
• Fresh graduates or 1 year of related work experience are welcome.
• Understanding of tax regulation, good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in written and spoken English.
