Management Consultant - Operational Excellence (Mining)

About the role

Accenture is recruiting a Management Consultant for Operational Excellence to support a client's largest mining operations in East Indonesia (Papua). The role focuses on improving the client's mining operations through sustainable business, process and operational improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage sustainable operational, process and operational improvement projects to strengthen the client's competitive advantage
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose best-practice solutions within industry standards
• Advise on strategic direction for business improvement initiatives
• Manage project deliverables in line with PMO, Operations Excellence methodology and company standards
• Manage the design and implementation of business improvements, issues and resolutions
• Communicate project plans, progress and problems to stakeholders
• Maintain strong relationships with the client's senior operations management to secure buy-in
• Focus on eliminating safety risks and incidents, increasing productivity and reducing costs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mining or Geology Engineering, Industrial Technology, MIS, Business & Economics, General Management or another engineering-related field
• 3-5 years of experience, preferably in mining consultancy or the mining industry
• Proven experience in asset maintenance and performance, mining operations or operational excellence
• Experience in strategic project execution rather than routine day-to-day tasks
• English and Indonesian, oral and written
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification highly preferable; MBA with operations or business improvement experience highly preferred
