Management Consultant - Maintenance Planning & Training (Papua)

About the role

Accenture is recruiting a Management Consultant for a client's mining operation in East Indonesia (Papua). You will work on-site with the client's maintenance teams to improve maintenance planning practices, coach planners and supervisors, and build sustainable capability. The position is permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Improve maintenance planning practices for mobile mining equipment and fixed plant assets, working directly with client maintenance teams on-site
• Coach and develop client planners and supervisors through structured, on-the-job training, demonstrating best practices
• Support the design and implementation of work management processes, from identifying and planning jobs to recording them
• Help build maintenance planning frameworks, tools and reference materials the client can use independently
• Track progress against capability milestones, identify gaps and adjust the coaching approach
• Work with Accenture teams and client counterparts so improvements align with program objectives
• Focus on eliminating safety risks and incidents, increasing productivity and reducing costs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Mining Engineering, or equivalent
• 4-10 years in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry, with at least 3 years in maintenance planning or scheduling (not a technician or field supervisor role)
• Daily hands-on use of a computerized maintenance management system such as SAP Plant Maintenance, IBM Maximo, PRONTO or Ellipse
• Experience coaching, mentoring or training maintenance staff
• Professional or native fluency in Bahasa Indonesia (mandatory); working English is an advantage
• Willingness to stay at the client site for the assignment duration
• Experience in copper, nickel or base metals mining, or oil and gas refineries, smelters or petrochemical plants, is highly preferred

Required skills

• Planning and scheduling maintenance activities, managing work order backlogs and coordinating planned versus corrective maintenance
• Preventive maintenance strategies, component life management and work execution standards
• Data-driven measurement and communication of maintenance performance
• Preferred: formal maintenance or reliability qualification such as CMRP
