Freelance HTML / EDM Developer

About the role

Hire Digital is looking for a freelance HTML / EDM developer to join its internal team and support email marketing and digital projects for its clients. You will work closely with the account, project, creative and marketing teams to turn client requirements and designs into responsive, production-ready HTML assets, supporting several client projects on a freelance basis.

Key responsibilities

• Build responsive HTML email / EDM templates for client campaigns.
• Convert supplied designs into clean, production-ready HTML and CSS.
• Troubleshoot layout, responsiveness and compatibility issues across devices and email clients.
• Support basic JavaScript requirements where needed.
• Make revisions based on internal and client feedback.
• Collaborate with the project, creative and marketing teams and deliver work within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS.
• Hands-on experience building EDMs, newsletters or HTML email templates.
• Good understanding of responsive design and email-client compatibility.
• Comfortable working within a remote team and responding to project feedback.
• Able to manage multiple assignments independently and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting agency, consulting or multiple-client environments.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Braze, Klaviyo or Marketo.
