Storekeeper - Hotel

About the role

Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto, a 403-room hotel in south Jakarta, is looking for a full-time storekeeper to manage and control the hotel's daily store operations. The role covers receiving, storing, issuing and monitoring inventory of goods and supplies, keeping stock accurate and available to support smooth hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive goods from suppliers against approved purchase orders, check quantity, quality and condition, record them in the inventory system and report discrepancies to the Purchasing Department and supervisor.
• Maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular physical counts, monitor minimum and maximum levels, identify slow-moving or expired items and apply FIFO or FEFO rotation.
• Issue goods to departments on approved requisitions, verify quantities, authorise withdrawals and record issuances and returns.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and labelled, store food, beverages and chemicals separately, and follow safety, security and hygiene standards.
• Prepare daily and monthly stock movement reports, assist in monthly inventory reports and stock audits, and file documents for audit purposes.
• Follow purchasing, receiving and storage procedures, control warehouse access and prevent unauthorised withdrawals and wastage.

Required profile

• Diploma or vocational school graduate in logistics, supply chain management, accounting or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse operations or inventory control, preferably in the hotel industry.
• Good numerical, organisational and documentation skills, strong attention to detail, honesty and responsibility.
• Physically fit and able to work independently and with other departments.

Required skills

• Familiarity with FIFO and FEFO stock rotation.
• Able to use Microsoft Excel and basic inventory management systems.
