Associate Director, LM Rates Trading

About the role

As an Associate Director in LM Rates Trading at ANZ’s Institutional Markets, you will lead the rates trading desk in Jakarta, driving revenue and delivering financial targets while ensuring strict adherence to risk, compliance and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and maximise local market rates trading revenue and contribute to overall trading financial targets.
• Collaborate with product and sales heads to manage product line risk, profitability and compliance.
• Maintain and enhance risk awareness, limit management and adherence to internal and external requirements.
• Implement and monitor front‑office control checks and deal processes to minimise operational and transactional risk.
• Lead, develop and retain a high‑performing team of traders, fostering a culture aligned with ANZ’s values and governance standards.
• Engage with sales teams and clients to ensure competitive pricing and effective execution.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in rates or fixed‑income trading within an institutional banking environment.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets.
• Deep understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory frameworks in financial markets.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop and retain high‑performing teams.
