Senior Field Service Engineer

About the role

The Senior Field Service Engineer provides comprehensive equipment support at customer sites and before delivery, ensuring compliance with Medtronic policies and procedures. This role serves as the primary contact for local customers, handling installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑delivery inspections, installations, commissioning, and planned maintenance of medical devices.
• Respond to urgent on‑site calls outside regular hours and manage customer expectations in line with SLAs.
• Provide quotations, negotiate discounts within approved authority, and act as escalation point for field issues.
• Guide lower‑level staff and third‑party service engineers, proposing solutions for supervisor review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years relevant experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Valid PPR (Radiation Protection Officer) license and Electromedic Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 4 years experience with medical devices in ICU, operating theatre, or similar healthcare environments.
