Senior Associate, Risk Assurance – Accounting Advisory (FRM)

About the role

PWC is seeking a Senior Associate for its Risk Assurance team within the Accounting Advisory Service. The role focuses on providing strategic guidance on technical accounting, financial reporting, transaction structures and capital‑markets topics for both public and private deals.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex accounting and financial reporting issues related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other transformational events.
• Develop and deliver high‑quality technical solutions for capital‑markets accounting advisory engagements.
• Build and maintain meaningful client relationships, anticipating their needs and delivering value.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address ambiguous situations and drive innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Strong experience in financial risk, including credit, market and operational risk.
• Blend of banking and consulting experience.
• Quantitative background, preferably a degree in computer science, mathematics or statistics.
• Professional certification such as FRM or CFA.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related quantitative field.
• Familiarity with statistical tools (MATLAB, SAS, R, Python) and prior internship experience in banking or insurance.
