Project Officer – T‑WASH 2 Project (Timor Tengah Selatan)

About the role

The Project Officer will lead and support the implementation of the new T‑WASH 2 project in Timor Tengah Selatan, Indonesia. The role focuses on improving access to inclusive and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services for children, families and communities while contributing to World Vision’s core approaches of transformational development, advocacy and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update annual, quarterly and monthly WASH work plans aligned with organisational strategy and donor requirements.
• Conduct needs assessments, contribute to project design and provide technical inputs for proposals, budgets and implementation plans.
• Implement project activities according to approved work plans, budgets and timelines, coordinating procurement, contractors, suppliers and local authorities.
• Conduct technical assessments of water supply, sanitation facilities and hygiene conditions; support construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of WASH infrastructure.
• Facilitate hygiene promotion sessions, community awareness activities and capacity‑building training for partners and stakeholders.
• Monitor project implementation for compliance with organisational standards, donor requirements and sector guidelines; collect, verify and report project data.
• Coordinate with government agencies, local partners, communities and sector coordination forums to ensure effective project delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading or supporting WASH project implementation.
• Ability to conduct needs assessments, technical assessments and to develop work plans and budgets.
• Strong coordination skills with contractors, suppliers, local authorities and community representatives.
• Experience in monitoring, reporting and ensuring compliance with donor and sector standards.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for community engagement and capacity building.
