Mechanical Static Engineer - Oil & Gas

About the role

Bureau Veritas is looking for a Mechanical Static Engineer for its oil and gas business unit. The role covers the design, operation and maintenance of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers and storage tanks, and requires a strong construction engineering background.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or material engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in a production facility topside role, with a strong construction engineering background.
• Experience in hydrocarbon processing, including LNG and refining.

Required skills

• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, TEMA, ALPEMA).
• Experience with ASME (B31.1, B31.3), NBIC, API 510, TEMA, ASTM, NACE and NFPA codes.
• Proficiency in CAESAR, AUTOPIPE, PV Elite, COMPRESS, HTRI, HTFS and ANSYS.
• Design of mechanical static equipment, piping, fittings and valves.
• Familiarity with mechanical specifications, design criteria, P&ID, equipment layout, piping isometrics, hydraulic and control schematics, hazardous area classification, datasheets, MTO and bulk materials.
