FPU Piping Engineer (Expatriate) - Oil & Gas

About the role

Bureau Veritas is recruiting an expatriate FPU Piping Engineer for an upstream oil and gas project. The role covers piping design and engineering support across the full lifecycle of offshore projects, from fabrication through to commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or material engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in top-side construction and installation at production facilities, with a strong construction engineering background and demonstrable yard leadership skills.
• 10 years of supervisory experience as a discipline engineer in upstream oil and gas facilities.
• Experience with FPU, FLNG and brownfield projects.
• Experience supporting welding fabrication, installation, NDT, PWHT, hydrotest, chemical flushing, blowing, pigging and N2 preservation.
• Knowledge of codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, API and SNI; experience in welding, NDT, painting, corrosion, failure analysis or RBI is preferable.

Required skills

• CAESAR II: ability to build piping models covering geometry, boundary conditions, materials, corrosion, added mass, gravity and environmental/live loads and other offshore parameters.
• Application of ASME B31.3, API and SNI standards.
