Gender Equality Consultant for Education Programme

About the role

The External Collaborator for Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) will provide technical and advisory support to the KREASI programme, ensuring gender equality commitments are met across education interventions in Indonesia.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the Education Manager on embedding a gender equality perspective across training programmes and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess and build GEDSI capacity among KREASI staff and partners through light‑touch training and orientations.
• Support the Ecosystem Manager in developing a strategy to include women’s and girls’ rights groups and youth movements in district‑level education ecosystem forums.
• Assist the MEAL Manager to ensure data collection tools capture gender‑ and disability‑disaggregated data and keep gender evidence current.
• Work with the Program Director to assess KREASI’s position on the GPE Gender Equality Continuum and propose steps for advancement.
• Consolidate gender‑related MEAL reporting to the donor and share evidence and lessons with partners and the Local Education Group.
• Coordinate with Save the Children’s Safeguarding Focal Point to ensure PSEAH reporting protocols function and flag gaps to the Chief of Party.

Required profile

• Experience providing technical and advisory support on gender equality, disability and social inclusion in education programmes.
• Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and gender mainstreaming frameworks.
• Ability to work under the direction of an Inclusive Education Advisor and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
