Climate Change Education Consultant for KREASI Program

About the role

The KREASI program is seeking an experienced consultant to lead Climate Change Education (CCE) integration across primary schools in Indonesia. The role spans two phases: providing technical support during Year 2 implementation and developing a comprehensive CCE package for Year 3.

Key responsibilities

• Offer technical advice to the KREASI Education Manager and Ecosystem & Advocacy Manager on embedding climate change topics into Year 2 activities.
• Review and contribute to partner CCE reports for Years 1‑2 and incorporate findings into narrative program reports.
• Develop guidance, competencies, and teaching resources (PBL and non‑PBL) for primary teachers.
• Respond to emergent needs, such as support for schools impacted by forest fires.
• Assist in planning and preparing the Year 3 CCE package.
• Design training materials for teachers and principals, focusing on climate‑responsive curriculum integration.
• Create content for the KKG/KKKS community of practice on CCE.
• Build capacity of KREASI staff and partners to deliver climate‑responsive education.
• Generate evidence, lessons learned, and knowledge products for program adaptation and external communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience in climate change education, curriculum development, and teacher professional development.
• Strong background in working with education NGOs or government programs in low‑resource settings.
• Ability to produce high‑quality guidance documents and training materials.
• Excellent analytical skills to review program activities and generate evidence‑based recommendations.
