Dining Service Attendant – HAL (SBI)

About the role

The Dining Service Attendant supports food and beverage service aboard the HAL cruise ship, primarily in the Mess Rooms and Lido Market. You will ensure guests receive courteous, prompt, and efficient service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain assigned service stations throughout the meal period.
• Assist with guest service, food delivery, and table resetting in the Dining Room or In‑Room Dining as required.
• Comply with waste‑separation, environmental, health, safety, and security policies.
• Follow HESS rules and the sequence of service to ensure timely delivery.
• Demonstrate thorough menu knowledge and address guest inquiries, including allergies and special diets.
• Promote and assist guests with the company’s Navigator App.
• Complete all side‑work and station clean‑up at the end of each service.

Required profile

• 1+ years experience in a 5‑star hotel, cruise ship, or high‑volume restaurant.
• High school diploma or foreign equivalent.
• Intermediate to advanced English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a ‘guest first’ attitude.
• Positive, polite demeanor with a neat appearance.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk long distances, lift >25 lb, and navigate stairs.
