Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

About the role

fms-logistics is looking for a Business Development Manager for its freight forwarding business in Surabaya, Indonesia. The position is full time and starts immediately. You will promote the department, the company and its services, turn new market opportunities into reality and achieve your goals in qualitative and quantitative terms.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the department, the company and its services
• Identify new markets and business opportunities, materialise them and take part in their implementation
• Prepare offers and advise clients, internal and external
• Negotiate economic conditions with each client

Required profile

• At least 5 years of sales experience in the land transport sector (B2B)
• Network of contacts and client portfolio covering groupage, LTL and/or full load, mainly focused on the international market
• Sufficient knowledge of the local market
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Team player with a proactive work attitude
• B2 level of English; German is considered a plus
• Occasional travel availability
