Technical Manager - Laboratory

About the role

Technical Manager – Laboratory will lead the development and maintenance of laboratory technical methodologies, instructions and capability programmes for the Metals & Minerals, Energy and Agriculture sectors of PT AHK Testing Indonesia. The role ensures consistent technical support, method standardisation, analytical reliability and compliance across all laboratory activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain laboratory technical methodologies, standard operating procedures and capability development programmes.
• Provide technical support and oversight to ensure method standardisation, analytical reliability and compliance with ISO 17025 and other accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to implement method validation, verification and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in laboratory testing, quality systems or analytical technical functions, with at least 1–2 years in a managerial or technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 compliance, QA/QC frameworks and industry standards such as ASTM, JIS, SNI and GAFTA/FOSFA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science or related field; Master’s degree is a distinct advantage.

• ISO 17025 compliance and laboratory QA/QC frameworks.
• Method validation, verification and analytical troubleshooting.
• Laboratory instrumentation, calibration systems and related industry standards (ASTM, JIS, SNI, GAFTA/FOSFA).
• CAPA compliance, technical risk assessments and investigations.
