Senior Associate, Institutional Non-Financial Risk Manager

About the role

ANZ is looking for an experienced Operational Risk professional to take on a key risk leadership role supporting its Institutional business across Markets, Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance and Coverage. The position is based in Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia, and suits a seasoned risk professional who enjoys working closely with the business, influencing senior stakeholders and turning complex risk and regulatory requirements into practical outcomes. It is a permanent role.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior business leaders on operational and non-financial risk matters, offering constructive challenge and practical solutions
• Drive the implementation and ongoing embedding of the Non-Financial Risk Framework
• Provide first-line oversight of key risks, controls, incidents, audit actions, risk indicators and remediation activities
• Lead risk assessments, control reviews and governance reporting for senior management and risk forums
• Identify emerging risks and control vulnerabilities and influence actions to strengthen the control environment
• Advise on regulatory change, new products, business initiatives and process transformations
• Support operational resilience, business continuity, data protection, reputational risk and regulatory reporting
• Partner with regional and global teams on strategic risk initiatives and contribute to surveillance, governance and risk oversight across Markets and Corporate Banking
• Champion a strong risk culture through leadership, engagement and continuous improvement

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in financial services, with substantial experience in Operational Risk, Governance, Compliance, Business Continuity or related disciplines
• Strong understanding of Corporate Banking, ideally with exposure to Markets, Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance or Coverage
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide credible constructive challenge
• Collaborative and resilient leadership style, comfortable working across local, regional and global teams
• Relevant professional qualifications in risk, governance or related disciplines will be viewed favourably

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of risk and control frameworks, risk assessments, control testing, incident management and governance and risk reporting
• Strong analytical judgement, connecting emerging risks, control weaknesses and business developments
• Ability to translate complex regulatory and risk requirements into clear, practical business actions
