FPU Topside Electrical & Instrument Specialist #O&G1

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Physics Engineering from an Indonesian university.
• Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in electrical construction and installation for upstream oil and gas topside facilities.
• Hands‑on experience with international and national electrical standards such as IEC, NEC, ANSI/NEMA, API, IEEE, ASTM, ATEX, IECEx, NFPA 780 and Indonesia’s SNI.
• CompEx certification (Ex01 – Ex04) is considered an advantage.
• Background in floating production units (FPU), floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) and brownfield projects.
• Proven ability to develop and review electrical specifications, datasheets and detailed drawings (single‑line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable routing, schematics, wiring diagrams, lighting layouts).
• Experience in hazardous‑area classification, lightning protection concepts, material take‑off (MTO) and bulk material planning.
• Leadership of construction and installation of major electrical equipment such as MV/LV switchgear, MCC panels, AC/DC UPS, VFDs, MV/LV motors and power transformers.
• Familiarity with MC‑ITR, PC‑ITR, PTW (hot/cold) procedures and electrical job cards.
• Experience in project completion reporting and use of project information management systems (PIMS).

Required skills

• CompEx Ex01‑Ex04 certification.
• Preparation and review of electrical specifications, datasheets and detailed engineering drawings.
• Hazardous‑area classification and lightning protection design.
• Installation and commissioning of MV/LV switchgear, MCC panels, UPS, VFD, motors and transformers.
• Execution of MC‑ITR, PC‑ITR and PTW procedures.
• Use of electrical job cards and project completion documentation.
• Project information management using PIMS.
