Communication Officer Consultant for Youth Program

About the role

Plan International is seeking a Communications Officer Consultant to support the second year of the YouRISE youth empowerment programme in Indonesia. The role will manage daily communications, social media channels, and produce visual and audiovisual content for programme activities and large‑scale events such as Girls Takeover 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the programme’s editorial calendar in line with guidance from the Programme Communications Specialist.
• Manage social‑media activation, create copy, captions, video scripts, carousel concepts and other digital communication materials.
• Produce and edit graphics, photos, short videos, reels and other visual content, ensuring inclusivity and alignment with Plan Indonesia’s visual identity.
• Document programme activities, capture success stories, and archive digital assets for future use.
• Provide on‑site coverage of trainings, campaigns and large events, delivering real‑time content such as Instagram Stories and post‑event reels.
• Monitor content performance using agreed metrics and report on reach and engagement.
