Strategic Researcher

About the role

The Strategic Researcher will deliver targeted market, industry and competitor insights to support business development, client work and internal projects, helping teams make informed strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct targeted market, industry and competitor research for business development, client and internal projects.
• Support Business Leads in compiling accurate research for RFP responses, proposals and presentations.
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative information, identify meaningful trends and translate findings into clear, practical insights.
• Prepare competitor analysis and benchmarking reports that inform strategy development and decision‑making.
• Provide basic data analysis to support client work, internal planning and business‑development activity.
• Maintain an organised database of trusted research sources, industry reports and reference materials.
• Produce concise research summaries, reports and presentation materials tailored to internal stakeholders.
• Verify sources and review data carefully to maintain accuracy, relevance and consistency across outputs.
• Manage multiple research requests and deadlines, prioritising work effectively and communicating progress early.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Business Development & Strategy team, responding constructively to feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Business, Economics, Marketing, Social Sciences or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2‑4 years of experience in research, insights, market intelligence or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical ability to identify, assess and interpret market and industry information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
