Area Sales Manager – Medan

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead business development across Medan, acquiring new distributors, retailers and modern trade partners. You will be responsible for planning, forecasting, and ensuring timely order fulfilment while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new customers (distributors, retail, modern retail) in the assigned area.
• Plan, track and follow up sales orders, forecast demand and manage individual account plans.
• Ensure timely payment from customers and follow up on deliveries.
• Maintain service level, handle customer complaints and coordinate with internal sales administration for on‑time delivery.
• Conduct regular customer visits to support marketing activities and gather market intelligence.
• Provide after‑sales support, including warranty handling and product returns.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to assess product distribution and with the product marketing team to develop the optimal product mix.
• Develop business plans for the territory and travel frequently to meet customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in building materials or FMCG.
• Proficient oral and written communication in English.
• High level of drive, ambition, sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Resides in or near Medan and willing to travel frequently.
