Private Sector Engagement Analyst

About the role

The Private Sector Engagement Analyst will lead UNDP Indonesia’s collaboration with private‑sector actors to promote sustainable, inclusive, market‑oriented commodity development, focusing on land‑based and marine‑based commodities. The role involves identifying, developing and operationalising strategic partnerships that translate private‑sector engagement into tangible investments, market opportunities and improved outcomes for producers and landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic overview of private‑sector actors relevant to Indonesia’s priority commodities, including companies, traders, investors and producer organisations.
• Identify and prioritise potential partners based on market position, investment capacity, sustainability commitments and technical capabilities.
• Build and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities, investment cases and market‑based solutions across UNDP projects.
• Establish and expand relationships with national, regional and international private‑sector actors to mobilise expertise, innovation, finance and market access.
• Facilitate business dialogues, investment forums, trade missions and knowledge exchanges linking commodity stakeholders with buyers and investors.
• Provide strategic advice to project teams and senior management on private‑sector positioning, market trends and partnership opportunities.
