Front Desk Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a Front Desk Manager to support the Front Office Manager at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, ensuring the highest standards of guest service and revenue optimisation in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee front desk operations including check‑in, check‑out and guest assistance while adhering to Kempinski standards.
• Assist in policy development, implementation and review for front office procedures.
• Select, train, schedule and manage front desk staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Maximise room revenue through inventory control, group blocking, package management and up‑selling.
• Maintain high visibility during peak periods, address guest complaints and ensure satisfaction.
• Greet and escort VIP guests, providing personalised service throughout their stay.
• Coordinate with Executive Office, Housekeeping, Sales & Marketing, Engineering and Security to deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Identify training needs, plan and oversee training activities for front desk teams.
• Assist in budget preparation and adhere to budgetary guidelines.
• Perform administrative duties such as reporting, meeting participation and memo preparation.

Required profile

• Indonesian citizenship.
• Minimum 2 years in a managerial role within a luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of front office operations, including guest check‑in/out, room allocation, cash handling and service standards.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and team development abilities.
• Proven capability to handle guest complaints and achieve high satisfaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Property Management System, preferably Opera Cloud.
