Duty Engineer (Audio Visual Specialist)

About the role

The incumbent closely monitors all processes related to ensuring a high level of maintenance works in the hotel, guaranteeing they are timely and defect‑free, while providing audio‑visual support to guests and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to all audio‑visual support requests from guests and internal departments promptly and resolve them effectively.
• Maintain hotel AV systems, equipment, and related technologies in optimal condition and in compliance with Kempinski standards.
• Follow, record, and complete preventive maintenance schedules for AV equipment on time.
• Communicate politely and professionally with guests, colleagues, and other departments, ensuring clarity in technical support.
• Understand and adhere to safety, electrical handling, and emergency procedures related to AV operations, operating equipment safely and correctly.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships within the Engineering team, Events team, and across other departments.

Required profile

• Indonesian citizen with a minimum of 2‑3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting (sound, lighting, projection, video conferencing).
• Understanding of safety procedures, electrical handling, and preventive maintenance practices for AV equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various hotel departments and event organizers.
• Ability to follow Kempinski standards and ensure all audio‑visual setups are delivered to the highest quality and defect‑free.
