Project Officer – MARVEL Project (Lombok, Mataram)

About the role

The Project Officer will lead the implementation of the MARVEL Project in Lombok, focusing on improving the welfare of children and families through community‑driven initiatives. Working closely with village partners, the officer will build capacity, strengthen local institutions, and ensure the sustainability and impact of program activities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement program activities by developing community capacity and partnerships at the village level.
• Strengthen local institutions and facilitate community‑led initiatives that promote child and family well‑being.
• Support the ADP and project teams in shaping a transformative vision for child‑focused services.
• Guide communities in problem identification, priority setting, and annual/quarterly planning aligned with project design.
• Develop community‑based disaster‑risk reduction and climate‑resilience advocacy plans.
• Assist in resource identification, feasibility assessment, risk management, and mobilization for program execution.
• Coordinate sponsorship and non‑sponsorship program preparation and implementation.
• Build the capacity of community members and partners in character, competence, and commitment to achieve project goals.
• Facilitate reflection, learning, and reporting on program outcomes with vulnerable groups.

Required profile

• Experience in community development, project implementation, or related fields.
• Strong facilitation and coordination abilities with village‑level stakeholders.
• Understanding of child welfare and family well‑being issues.
• Ability to guide planning, advocacy, and resource‑mobilization processes.
• Commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
