Senior Associate – IT Cybersecurity (Risk Assurance)

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Risk Assurance team, focusing on IT Cybersecurity. You will work with a diverse set of clients to protect their digital assets, assess vulnerabilities, and design secure architectures across multiple technology domains.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity assessments, design, and implementation aligned with standards such as NIST, ISO 27000, PCI‑DSS, COBIT, and CIS.
• Conduct application and infrastructure security testing for web, cloud, mobile, and OT environments.
• Lead red‑team exercises, incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis.
• Provide actionable recommendations and advisory services to clients.
• Coach and up‑skill junior team members.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations.
• Excellent communication skills to build client relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous learning and personal brand development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27000 family, PCI‑DSS, COBIT, CIS frameworks.
• Experience with application security, operating‑system hardening, database security, firewalls, switches, APIs, and other security devices.
• Proficiency in cloud security assessments and OT security (energy, mining, utilities, oil & gas).
• Hands‑on experience in red‑team exercises, incident response, threat hunting, and incident analysis.
