Restaurant Supervisor – Signatures

About the role

The Restaurant Supervisor (Signatures) ensures courteous, professional, and efficient service in the assigned outlet, supporting sales and maximizing guest satisfaction while upholding Kempinski’s standards and values.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Assistant Restaurant Manager/Restaurant Manager and oversee Head Waiter/Waitress, Waiter/Waitress, and Host/Hostess.
• Deliver consistent, high‑quality service and maintain thorough knowledge of all hotel food and beverage offerings.
• Upsell menu items, suggest alternatives, and monitor operating supplies to minimise waste.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, keep the work area clean and organized, and handle guest enquiries and complaints promptly.
• Operate the POS system according to training, adhere to hotel policies on fire, hygiene, health & safety, and conduct scheduled inventories.
• Understand the department’s monthly profit and loss, lead the team by example, and communicate effectively, including holding team meetings in the Assistant Manager’s absence.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage portfolio and service standards.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and act as a role model for the service team.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
• Attention to detail in cleanliness, inventory control, and waste reduction.
• Commitment to following hotel policies, health & safety regulations, and operational procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating the restaurant POS system.
