People Partner – Manufacturing

About the role

The Manufacturing People Partner (MPP) executes the People Strategy at the Batam manufacturing site, partnering closely with the Manufacturing Management Team and People leaders to enable safe, effective, and engaged operations. As a trusted advisor, the MPP aligns people strategies, workforce planning, and employee relations with business priorities, global frameworks, and local labor laws.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Manufacturing and People leaders to drive talent development, engagement, and retention, strengthening leadership capability.
• Lead workforce planning and core people processes, including staffing, performance, talent management, engagement, and compensation, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Provide end‑to‑end employee and labor relations support, handling absences, disciplinary cases, grievances, performance improvement, and investigations in compliance with labor laws.
• Promote a culture of impact with care, driving engagement, managing organizational change, and ensuring alignment with policies and business priorities.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in People Partnering or HR Business Partnering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Deep expertise in employee and labor relations with practical knowledge of labor law application.
• Proven ability to coach and influence leaders, handling complex and sensitive people matters with integrity.
• Strong business acumen and hands‑on approach to translate strategy into site‑level people solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trust in fast‑paced, highly regulated environments.
