About the role
The OpEx Intern will join Alcon’s Operational Excellence team in Batam, supporting the identification, analysis and implementation of continuous improvement (CI) opportunities across manufacturing operations. The role also assists the OpEx and Learning Development team with data digitalisation initiatives, providing hands‑on exposure to lean manufacturing practices.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the OpEx team in spotting and evaluating CI opportunities within the manufacturing floor.
- Support the implementation of approved improvement projects to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with the Learning Development team to explore data digitalisation possibilities.
- Gain practical experience in lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.

- Current Alcon employee or contingent worker seeking an internal internship opportunity.
