Mechanical Engineer – Senior Built Environment Specialist

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its Indonesia Built Environment business. You will work on high‑rise, data‑centre and mission‑critical projects, delivering innovative mechanical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, coordination and documentation of specialist mechanical building services, focusing on HVAC or hydraulic (plumbing) systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions for high‑rise buildings and data‑centre projects across Indonesia.
• Provide technical expertise from concept through detailed design, construction support and commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with design specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering consulting experience in the built environment sector.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills with excellent communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Experience delivering large‑scale commercial, high‑rise or data‑centre projects.
