Manufacturing IT Specialist

About the role

The Manufacturing IT Specialist will support Bosch's production environment by ensuring the reliability and performance of Manufacturing Execution Systems and related IT infrastructure. This role bridges IT and operational technology to enable efficient, secure manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support, configuration, and optimization for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related applications.
• Administer production servers, databases (Oracle, SQL Server), and monitor system performance, backups, and recovery.
• Implement and maintain Industrial IT (OT) security, including vulnerability management, patching, and access control.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and manage change requests following approved procedures.
• Train manufacturing staff, develop user guides, and support digitalization initiatives such as Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory projects.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, automation engineering, electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of machine communication, networking in manufacturing, and IT/OT integration.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work in multicultural, cross‑functional teams.

• MES configuration and support.
